  • Program Participation

  • If selected as a Gorge Scholar, you’ll be placed in one of the following engagement areas for the academic year where you’ll support campus programs, services, or events.

Participation is a required part of the program and includes completing approximately 30 hours per month in your assigned area. Your placement will be decided based on your interests, program needs, and availability. This experience is designed to help you gain hands-on experience, build skills, and become more connected to the CGCC community.

You may select up to two engagement areas that interest you. You’ll work under the guidance of CGCC staff in your assigned area and receive training specific to your role. While we do our best to consider student preferences, placement in a specific area is not guaranteed and depends on program needs and availability.

Review the engagement areas below, and then select one or two.
